Twitter is on CNN’s front page again!
June 5, 2008
So Twitter is down again, and i just found out why:
There is a story about twitter on the front page of CNN, here is the stories link:
http://www.cnn.com/2008/TECH/06/05/twitter.maree/index.html
And it’s a continued (Part 2) real life story of the American student that was freed from an Egyptian jail because of a one twitter update (Tweet) that he sent right before he went in, the word was “arrested”.
Twitter is becoming more powerful than ever, but because of heavy API calls and the extreme amount of tweets every second, the site goes down almost every other day now.
I suggested to fix that problem, for twitter to have a paid section with more member privilege, kind of like Flickr or Pownce pro membership.
Another idea would be for a big Company like Google or Yahoo to buy twitter!

Coming up, 2 big twitter related announcements.
My Twitter account was Hacked!!!
May 20, 2008
Here is a quick and not too funny story:
Around the end of March, eBay came up with a new policy that prohibited the listings of digital delivery items.
Immediately I closed my 22% income source aka my eBay store, that’s over 3200 items. Why? because it was 100% ebooks (Digital delivery items).
As a good seller, I came up with the same idea that most honest sellers came up with. To burn the ebooks on CDs and sell them as physical items.
Long story short: Having the second biggest eBay store (Items wise) I had to hire an assistant to re-list my items changing each to be in compliance with eBay’s new rules.
That “Jack @##” was invited to do the work from my own computer at my house, then some how managed to find my RoboForm master password, so he hacked into 2 of my eBay accounts and my one and only twitter account and changed the passwords.
Thanks to twitter friends (over 23,000 at the time) I got an @ to my email from some of my loyal friends on twitter, asking me what was wrong with me
I tried to log in to find out and couldn’t so I went to my twitter address and found out tons of spam, links, and bad replies to my friends.
I figured from the links it was the bastard. I immediately went to my other laptop to log in with my roboform and found out that 3 accounts (mentioned above) had password changed.
Contacted eBay and twitter. eBay fixed the problem within 24 hours and twitter within a week.
I needed my twitter fix within that week, so I went and created another twitter account, luckily the idiot changed the twitter username so my name was available and so I took it back.
It was not easy but I’ve managed to get some of my old friends back, thanks to the saved twitter RSS feeds I had.
I am now announcing that I am back on twitter, safely guarded, and more addicted than ever. So go ahead and follow me.
Still not following? here is the link: www.twitter.com/guruofsales
Within a week I will introduce some great twitter tools, and other cool stuff, good for business or on a personal level.
Word of advice:
1. Do not hire someone named “Jim Dandy” from CraigsList.
2. Do not let strangers on your own machines with passwords saved on it.
3. Do not put all your passwords in one place.
4. Try not to become a tweet addict like my self
See you on twitter
Put a voice into your Twitter or blog
April 23, 2008
As all of you might already know, that I am a twitterholic now. I can’t help it, please add me here: www.twitter.com/guruofsales but did you know that you can twitter, or even blog by voice now?!
That’s right, I just stumbled upon www.jott.com and it’s in beta now, but with the simple yet great service you can simply call a toll free number and tweet, blog to your wordpress blog, add to your Google or 30 boxes calendar, add a personal todo list, ad personal reminders, connect with your groups and even check on your zillow.
After you call, the service will read your voice, and save it, then add your tweet to your twitter with a link to your voice too. Do the same steps if you have a quick blog post on your wordpress blog.
Did I mention it’s all for free? Enjoy it
Barack Obama Vs. Hillary Clinton, Online!
April 17, 2008
Again, I am making the statement that my interest in politics is zero, at least to the public
But I found this a great way to see how powerful the Internet and Web 2.0 in general.
Doing some research earlier I found that in 2 of the most visited sites (Twitter, and Technorati) that Barack is way much more popular on both.
More followers on twitter (His twitter page have the most followers on twitter ever at this point) and he ranks first on Technorati most popular tags.
That’s only 2 sites that I researched, I am sure there is more ways out there to predict the future and Only time will tell if the Internet is right.
