Many of G1 phone and iPhone users use Google search by voice options on their phones today, but did they know that Goog 411 existed before any other Google voice service?

The idea is very simple, Dial the number and speak your question.

The options available are great too, watch the video below for a great example, and remember that this cool service is not just to find a great Sushi place, the system can text you information, connect you to your result listing for free, figure out your location based on your number (You can always change your location) or even “Map It” will send the map to your mobile phone. And it’s all for free!

The only charges you pay is to make the call or receive the SMS if you requested, but no 411 charges at all. Cool huh!

You knew it, I will be on the line waiting early in the morning to buy the phone.
I have been looking at some videos of “Android” the new OS for mobile devices made by Google, and I am very happy that it will be on the new phone.
You can watch a great demo of the phone here: www.t-mobileg1.com
Apple need to really watch out this time, the G1 may not be as sleek and sexy as the iPhone, but its peppy,
easy-to-use touchscreen interface makes mincemeat of all the other
iPhone wanna-bes, and it packs in some killer features—like 360-degree
Street View—that the iPhone has yet to match.
As you may predict, the G1 is slightly bulkier and
heavier and—well, let’s just say it—a little uglier than the slim, sexy
iPhone. Weighing in at 5.6 ounces, I could definitely feel the G1′s
extra bulk in my hand, although at just 0.6 inches thick, the G1 should
fit relatively easily in a jeans pocket.

Here are the features from T-mobile’s site:

Music player

With the 1GB memory card, you’ll never be without your favorite tunes

While the G1′s main screen isn’t quite as eye-popping as the iPhone’s,
the Android-powered display is surprisingly responsive—a quick flick
of your fingertip opened a windowshade of applications, while tapping the
status bar at the top of the screen instantly revealed e-mail, SMS, and
voice-mail alerts. Indeed, tapping and scrolling around the G1′s
various menus is a seamless pleasure, akin to what you’d expect from
an iPhone. And while leading iPhone competitors like the Samsung Instinct always felt a bit sluggish to me, the G1′s peppy interface responded quickly to my every touch.

Of
course, you’ll get the most out of the G1 if you’re using Google’s
suite of online applications, all of which sync automatically the
moment you sign in. The push Gmail client features threaded messaging,
just like you’d expect online, and you can star messages, organize them
with filters, and even conduct Google searches within the e-mail client
itself. You can also use the client to check your POP and IMAP
accounts—no full-on Exchange syncing, but as I mentioned in an earlier
post, third-party developers are free to create their own Exchange
syncing apps for Android.

The
G1′s dialer and contact list immediately grabs all your online Google
calendar info and contacts—and for those with IM accounts, the G1 will
indicate which of your contacts happen to be signed in for chat, an
“online presence” feature familiar to anyone with a Helio phone. As
with the iPhone, you can flick your contact list with a finger,
spinning it roulette-style. WOOT!

You know I will write more about it soon

As many of you may already know, I am anti-Apple! Therefore, I DO NOT like the iPhone, nor do I like its little successor the iPhone 3G. What amazes me is that all my friends are trying to defend it!

The Pocket PC has been around forever, though it never had the hype that came with the overmarketed iPhone — the only reason so many know so little about what it can do.

But don’t get me wrong — I’m no Microsoft fan, either. Whether it’s Windows or Linux — my own new computer is Ubuntu powered and I am very happy with it so far — I just don’t like being controlled and limited by the lack of options that any Apple product offers. I will explain more about Macs and iPods in a future post.

The main reason I dislike iPhones is the presence of little to no flexibility for third-party applications. Yes, there’s the App Store — but why pay for an app on the iPhone 3G that you can get gratis for Windows Mobile?

Yes I admit that most pocket PC’s used to be big and bulky and they used to be limited to their processors speed, but that’s all history now.
I’ve reviewed a couple of Windows Mobile-based phones, but no gadget from any manufacturer got a dropped-jaw reaction until today, and the device that did it was not Cupertino’s baby but the Touch Diamond from HTC.

HTC has launched its answer to Apple’s smartphone juggernaut; that answer is the?HTC Touch Diamond.

Though similar in form and function, HTC’s offering is far superior in many respects. First, HTC brought an innovated interface dubbed TouchFLO 3D to the device, bringing the contents and functions of your phone close to hand with convenience and style. But they didn’t stop at a better interface. They pushed the envelope further with features like intelligent ringer selection: Place the Diamond face-down on a flat surface and your phone will “go to sleep.” For more of the Diamond’s groundbreaking
features and functions, go here.

Will the HTC Touch Diamond be a major contender for the iPhone 3G’s title this summer? The world will decide, and we’ll be here watching; the Diamond dropped in Europe in June with release in the rest of the world coming later this year. (Or take a look at Amazon for unlocked devices.)

Here is the product description from Amazon:

The HTC touch Diamond rivals the iPhone yet again. HTC’s new flagship
phone has virtually every feature available! The huge 2.8 Inch
touchscreen LCD has an impressive 480 x 640 resolution, perfect for
showing off the vivid pictures you can take with the built in 3.15MP
camera. The all new TouchFLO 3D finger swipe navigation is the most
elegant interface we’ve ever seen on a Windows device to date. The 4GB
internal hard drive gives you plenty of room to store movies, pictures,
music and Windows Mobile 6.1 programs, and the 528 Mhz processor will
burn through any task you throw at it. But that’s not all the Diamond
manages to offer! A-GPS is built in so you’ll never get lost on the
road. Need to get connected? The Diamond has WiFi 802.11b/g, Bluetooth
2.0 with A2DP, HSDPA 7.2Mbps (EU and AS only) and EDGE. The list goes
on and on for this amazing HTC phone, and it’s even thinner than the
iPhone!

This is the first in many to come posts of cool geeky gadgets that you might also find useful for business.

This one here is a great gadget, simple and have enough features to compete with the iPhone.

Designer Roman Tubl set out to conceive a cell phone that’s easy to use and a pleasure to hold. Throw in a strip around the side that glows red (I like the black with glowing red combination), a slick touch screen and a cool logo, and you’ve got some serious pocket toy as well as some great options.

Looking at the design, I imagined holding it to my ear and having a conversation, thinking how easy the curves are to hold to the human ears, don’t you think?

Of course this is a concept phone, but I think it’s very doable. The concept includes the surface of the phone which consists of a flexi true color display for tactile touchscreen feedback. You’ll also notice the standard data ports like Bluetooth, USB, and Wifi in addition to a 3.2 megapixels camera and a snazzy amount of memory of 4 GB.

All credits go to designer Roman Tubl.

The new product line is called: XPERIA. To start, Sony just launched the XPERIA X1 with a full QWERTY keyboard, 3 inch touchscreen, Wi-Fi and a full 400 MB of storage memory. Also the new phone have a microSD support and was built with a modified windows mobile version (which I like a lot) and so far I heard that it will be available locally sometime this summer and should be able to work on every network in the U.S. and Europe.
