Donald & Ivanka Trump, The Apprentice, and Gene Simmons!

January 31, 2008

After a great marketing stunt from Donald Trump at the Learning Annex, Announcing the  Celebrity Apprentice in front of over 20,000 people, I quickly setup Tivo (DVR) to record every episode so I can further learn from it.

I have been a fan of The Apprentice since season 2, and I have seen and followed a lot of marketing and business related shows go up and down, but The Apprentice kept coming back stronger every season.

Up until the last season, where is took place in LA instead of my beloved New York, The concept of the show was to win a contract to become an apprentice to one of the smartest, richest and most popular real estate icons (Donald Trump).

What I liked, and learned from it was all the marketing techniques that was presented in each and every episode, every episode was a new challenge to market a new product or promote a business, and every episode had a unique marketing idea.

Fast forward to this season, the idea of the show is different, the challenge is between celebrities now and the cash generated will go to charities. What a great idea integrating cause marketing into the business model.

What’s even better is having Ivanka Trump doing the promotion and being the ultimate apprentice to her father, her lovely (and now very familiar) face started to show up in the last couple seasons, but I noticed that she is heavily involved this season at the show and promoting in other media, If it was up to me, I would ask her out :-), I have read a lot of articles about her and I just admire her work whether it’s her involvement and management of global building sites, or her new “head turning” jewelry product line, and I absolutelyloutly admire her work from her early days as a model, to approving herself in her father’s empire.

Before I start writing about each episode in details I like to mention one last thing:

One of my favorite entrepreneur superstars (And rock stars) Gene Simmons is one of the celebrities that I respect a lot through his history of entrepreneurial, producing and publishing and marketing work. At the pilot episode he was named as the marketing genius. Need I say more?

More details about each episodes coverage will follow, keep updated through the RSS feeds  (Learn more about RSS feeds) and leave comments about this post (I like feedback!)

Meeting Donald Trump and announcing The Apprentice

November 23, 2007

Donald Trump

That was a great post title don’t you think?

What’s even better is meeting Mr. Trump at the learning Annex last Sunday, you don’t get to meet a billionaire and ask him a question face to face every day. How did that happen and how I got to be one of 10 people out of 20,000 where there that night? Is another story that I will write about shortly.

er this one. As a matter of fact I will start backwards with all the stories that I have for the past 6 weeks, and you will read all about it soon. Now back to the subject.

As all my friends and people around me know, my investing in real state interest is 0. That’s right, zero is my interest in real state investing, however, my interest in real state market in general is good enough to write about it.

When I got lucky and got the chance to ask Mr. Trump a question, I tried to related to the market in the U.S. so I asked an odd question, why odd? Because Mr. Trump is from New York, and that’s where I live and where the event was for his speech, and the question was: What states out side of the state of New York in your opinion Mr. Trump, is best to invest in real state right now?

He answered my question(To my surprise) with another one: Do you want to stay in the continent of the U.S.? I replied “Yes” with a question mark on my face because I instantly

picked up on his message. He said that he doesn’t have a favorite state for now then he referred to international property investment right now because of economical reasons, but the answer to my question was followed: If you live in New York, stay in your neighborhood, that’s what you know best, and it is for your benefit to start investing in your area first th

en go nation wide or even international. Then I was moved to the side of the audience.

That was it, my 2 minutes of fame was over, and here is what I learned from it:

My translation of the answer is to stay in my market, invest my knowledge of the Internet marketing and online business in my area first, meaning, teaching, writing or speaking about what I know before I start studying further science so I can teach it as well. So for the present time, I will be posting every thing that I know (Online marketing, eBay education, taking your business online, affiliate market

ing, SEO, SEM and more in that area) and stories that’s related to all that first before I start talking about any of my other interests.

Announcement of The Apprentice and more about it in the next and last part of this story.

Got try for me and Mr. Trump in the same picture I tried to smile when I was 3rd on line to ask Mr. Trump the question. This picture was taking by the person behind me online and I think she did a great job.

Side stage view After I was to the side of the stage. This is a side view of the stage.
