The Celebrity Apprentice 4 (Wrestling)!

My close friends know that I am a wrestling fan, for the same exact reason that Mr. Trump introduced Vince McMahon, A great business promoter.
Nelly know and that Gene took a bullet for her in the last episode.
Here is episode 4 exclusive summery from the blog:
The task was simple. Each team would be given a booth in New York’s theater district for two hours. The team that made the most money selling tickets to Broadway plays would win.
The women chose Marilu to lead them this week. The men picked Vinnie. Those were wise choices, because both Marilu and Vinnie have acted in Broadway shows.
On the night before the selling began, members of both teams pulled out their address books and started calling well-placed contacts to ask them to buy tickets. Nely called friends at Cushman and Wakefield, the New York real estate company, and got them to agree to buy tickets for $2,500 apiece. On the Hydra team, Piers called the British tycoon Richard Branson, who agreed to buy $10,000 worth of tickets the next day.
On promotion day, both teams set up their booths on Broadway. While Stephen barked a high-energy sales pitch at pedestrians, Piers donned a knight’s costume from Spamalot and worked the crowd. David Hyde Pierce, star of the Broadway play Curtains, made an appearance at the women’s booth. Two hours of selling flew by. With only a few minutes left before the close of business, representatives from Richard Branson’s Virgin Airlines arrived with a $10,000 check for Hydra. Nely was not so lucky. Her high-roller buyers missed the deadline and couldn’t buy tickets from her team.
When sales were tallied, the men had sold $33,300 worth of tickets. The women had sold $31,770. Another defeat for the women of Empresario!
Marilu brought Jennie and Carol back into the boardroom for the firing. As the three women discussed their team’s losing ways, Mr. Trump asked Jennie about her apparent lack of drive. She answered, “It’s hard in such a nasty environment… I just can’t get used to it.” Mr. Trump complimented her competitiveness on the softball field – but he then fired her in a very gentlemanly way. “Don’t get used to it,” he said, “stay just the way you are… it’s just not your world. And you know what? You’re better off. This isn’t a great world.” It was one of the softest landings ever for a fired Apprentice contender – and one of the most touching.
My thoughts:
I think this episode was all about team work and leadership.
Taking advantage of your “Black Book” and asking for friends help for good causes is a great thing and will always work. The ladies were a great example for that especially Nelly.
Although Jennie was fired, she left knowing that it’s not personal, it’s just business.
